My practice began with a more traditional approach to Illustration. Drawing, design and collage underpin my creative process, some of which is shown here.
My love for Illustration stemmed from my desire to hone my skill for realism. With a passion for understanding every individual’s unique story, I attempt to use a variation of different mediums to create realistic depictions of people.
Carrying a project from initial Illustration through to completed publication, this editorial piece was a real learning curve. Working predominantly in Photoshop and InDesign, this project challenged my technical skill and was the perfect opportunity to really explore new software. With an interview from a local business and an exploration into a vegetable that is relatively high profile at this moment in time, this piece remains current and exciting.
These images represent the different individuals that make up the Woman's Institute – Many different people, from copious backgrounds, acting as one cohesive entity.
